DINING IN SAN JOSE DEL CABO

DSC07877-1024x682

Day trips to San Jose del Cabo are one of our most popular suggestions. Break away from the beach for a day or just an afternoon to get a glimpse into the heart and culture of Los Cabos. In addition to the art and history of San Jose, you don’t want to miss out on all the AMAZING restaurants. And let us just say, there are quite a few!

There are too many San Jose del Cabo restaurants to list at once, so we’re breaking things down. Today, we’re picking our favorite quick pick ups, casual meals, and grab and go treats.

La Gabacha

This cute and quirky restaurant has been growing in popularity since opening last year. The La Gabacha team focuses on good home cooking (something customers will certainly appreciate) with a menu of “world food with a Mexican twist.” By day, enjoy a DELICIOUS Mexican coffee and egg sandwich. By night, sip on fresh locally inspired cocktails and tasty Baja-style tamales. Owner, Marina, left Los Cabos to pursue a corporate career and global travels before returning to her home town and bringing with her a global menu.

Baja Oyster Bar

Baja Oyster Bar is a BRAND NEW venture from Chef Loic, head chef of Mi Cocina at Casa Natalia. The oyster bar brings incredible, locally sourced oysters down the the Baja coast to Los Cabos consumers. And, Chef Loic and his team do an amazing job of creating traditional and unique oyster dishes. The Baja Oyster Bar is open everyday except Tuesdays from 5 – 9 p.m. Pop in for a quick shuck and get back to exploring San Jose under the stars.

Tropical

Okay, we can’t talk about eating in San Jose without chatting about the delicious popsicle shop, Tropical. Located just steps from the historic mission, Tropical is popular with visitors and locals alike. You’ll have to stop in and check it out for yourself. The flavors are to plenty to list (or for us to remember)!
