We’re inching closer and closer to the end of 2014, and with the season comes some great Rooster, Striped Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna.
According to our friends at Pisces Fishing Report, it was a good week for luring in billfish. One of the biggest catches of the week was a 500 pound blue marlin caught around Lighthouse on our aptly name Bill Collector. La Brisa also set sail with visiting anglers, and was able to catch two heavy striped marlin at 140 and 160 pounds. Both were released.
This week, a few of our anglers enjoyed a some marlin, but even more yellowfin tuna. They reeled in 6 tuna and an additional 14 dorado! That wasn’t the end of the dorado luck last week. Pisces sent out fewer boats than in weeks prior, but caught nearly double the dorado. Included in the dorado catches are 19 dorados ranging from 15-35 pounds caught aboard the Andrea. Yahoo also reported a great dorado outing with 13. The angling experts at Pisces note the increasing water temperatures, making the water much warmer than average.
