The latest Pisces Fishing Report was released from our friends at Pisces Sportfishing, and it appears the trend continues… While the weather and conditions were perfect, marlin catches still weren’t up to where one may expected. “The catch rate for marlin remains low even though this week more fish were spotted and our catch rate climbed a few points up to sixteen percent.” Nevertheless, almost every boat that went out that week reeled in some dorado.
A boat that caught both, the La Brisa, pulled in a 135 lb. striped marlin in addition to 12, yes 12, dorados. In all, of the 233 total fish caught last week, just nine were striped marlin. Just a little more math for you, 95% of the charters caught dorado. We can’t forget the few sierra, sea bass, amberjacks, skipjacks and wahoo that were caught.
